FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS

Q: What types of sessions do you photograph?

I photograph weddings and lifestyle portrait sessions. These can include family, newborn, couples, or maternity. Lifestyle sessions are done either at your home, or on location - I do not offer in-studio sessions, but am happy to recommend some colleagues who do!

Q: How long before I can expect my gallery?

For weddings, my turnaround time is 10-12 weeks; this is dependent on the time of year, as well as my workload. For lifestyle sessions, you can expect 2-3 weeks.

Q: How many photos will I receive?

With your lifestyle session, you can expect anywhere from 20-50 final edited images; this depends on the type of session, length, and location. I do not promise a set amount of images per wedding, as each wedding is completely different! So may factors come into play; but trust me, no matter what you will have a beautiful documentary-style account of your wedding to look back on.

Q: What are your travel fees?

I do not charge any travel fees for within the St. John's metro region; generally my rule is if you are within 1 hour of the downtown core, no travel fees apply. If your wedding is out of town, I will charge $0.50/km for gas mileage, as well as 1-2 nights accommodation where necessary.

Q: Do you work with a second shooter?

The short answer, no. I've been a solo shooter for the entirety of my career, and am more than comfortable photographing your wedding on my own! I prefer to shoot solo, and I feel it ensures that all of my images are consistent with my style. A huge part of my style is natural and romantic imagery, and when it is just the couple and myself, they feel like they can relax and completely be themselves with each other. This being said, if you feel like your wedding warrants a second shooter I do have the option of adding one to any of my packages, and am happy to discuss this option with you.

Q: If we're working on a wedding day timeline,
can you help us with that?

Absolutely! I'm more than happy to help with any questions you might have along the way regarding your day-of timing.

Q: Why should we do the engagement session?

While engagement sessions are not included in my wedding packages, I always strongly urge couples to do them! I offer engagement sessions at a reduced rate for booked wedding clients. Not only is it a great way for us to get to know each other and work together before your wedding day, but if you've never had professional photos taken before, it really helps you feel more comfortable and natural in front of the camera. These sessions don't need to be stiff or formal; make a date night of it, do something together that you enjoy, and take me along to photograph it.

Q: Do you edit all of our photos?

All of the images I deliver are edited to look like the ones you see on my website and social media channels. I believe all of your images should be a finished piece, hand-selected and of the hightest quality.

Q: Do you offer payment plans?

My go-to payment schedule is to collect a deposit to secure your date at the time of booking, and then I will invoice for the remainder of the balance one week prior to your wedding date. However, I am more than happy to work with you to create a payment schedule from booking date to wedding day that works for you!

Q: How do we book with you?

If you're ready to book with me, deadly! Head on over to my contact form and say hi; I can't wait to hear from you.
